Advertorial

Meteorologists are unanimous: according to forecasts, the summer of 2026 will break every record known so far. For millions of people, the coming heatwave represents an extreme challenge.

Electricity prices are already sky-high and keep climbing. Anyone trying to cool their home today with a conventional air conditioner runs into a real financial headache.

The problem with conventional air conditioners:

  • A steep purchase price: on average, consumers have to budget several thousand pounds just for the unit.
  • A demanding installation: weeks of waiting for a fitter, not to mention the noise and the costly holes drilled in your walls.
  • The daily electricity trap: a conventional air conditioner quickly devours up to £8 of electricity per day of use. That's up to £240 a month, just for a bit of cool air.

In short: a luxury almost nobody can, or wants to, afford any more.

The turning point: an industry insider reveals all

This is exactly where a former engineer stepped in. After years spent in development at one of the world's largest air-conditioning manufacturers, he saw day after day just how expensive cooling is made for the end consumer.

His goal was crystal clear: to create an affordable solution for everyone. A device that delivers ice-cold air yet needs no installation and uses almost no electricity.

After three years of development, he succeeded.

That device is the Cleemo.

The story behind the innovation

Behind the Cleemo is British engineer James Harris. When his father's engineering firm was on the brink of bankruptcy, James left his job at a large corporation to help out. In the middle of development, his father passed away completely unexpectedly. James carried on alone, and successfully: he saved the family business and protected all 13 jobs.

Today, Cleemo is breaking sales records. Despite the flood of orders, James flatly refuses cheap mass production:

“Big corporations wanted to buy the Cleemo patent for several million pounds to move production to Asia. I said no. We manufacture strictly to my father's quality standards. I'd rather deliver a little more slowly right now than sell mediocre products.” James Harris, founder of Cleemo

One look under the Cleemo's casing is enough to understand why this invention is shaking up the market.

The secret behind this Arctic chill: what makes the Cleemo so unique?

Conventional air conditioners run on heavy, noisy compressors and chemical refrigerants. They consume gigantic amounts of electricity to cool the air by brute force. James Harris has completely turned this outdated principle on its head.

The real secret lies in the Cleemo's newly designed water-cooling chamber. Instead of cooling the air by the brute force of a compressor, the device harnesses a highly efficient physical principle: evaporative cooling (which experts also call adiabatic cooling).

As soon as you fill the built-in water chamber, the warm room air that's drawn in is guided through a nano honeycomb membrane saturated with water. As it passes through, the water absorbs the heat from the air precisely at the moment of the phase change, that is, exactly when it turns from liquid into gas. This process removes enormous amounts of thermal energy from the air: what's known as the enthalpy of vaporisation.

And this is precisely where the decisive efficiency advantage over any ordinary fan lies: a single gram of water that evaporates absorbs around 2,260 joules of thermal energy, far more than moving air alone could ever achieve. While a dry fan merely stirs the warm air around, the Cleemo uses the latent heat of the phase change to actively lower the temperature. The result is an air flow noticeably cooler than the surrounding air, an effect that a device without a water chamber simply cannot achieve physically.

The result is a clean technology, absolutely unique on the market in three decisive ways:

  • 95% less electricity: while a conventional air conditioner draws up to 2,000 watts from the socket, the Cleemo needs only 45 watts, less than a traditional light bulb! So cooling costs you just a few pence a day.
  • 0% installation (no exhaust hose): conventional portable air conditioners need a thick hose that vents the hot air out of a window left ajar, which lets the heat straight back in. Because the Cleemo cools the air internally through water evaporation, it works entirely without a hose. Just fill the tank, set it down, plug it in, done. You can move it freely from room to room.
  • Perfectly balanced air quality: ordinary air conditioners dry the air out enormously, which often leads to colds, sore throats or stinging eyes. Thanks to water evaporation, the Cleemo does the opposite: it releases finely measured residual moisture back into the room, filters dust particles through the honeycomb membrane at the same time and thus ensures naturally fresh, cooling air quality that is especially gentle on the airways.

What customers say about the Cleemo

“I was genuinely sceptical at first: did such a compact device, without that big exhaust hose, stand any chance against the heat up in the loft? But the Cleemo completely won me over. Within 15 minutes, my bedroom went from a stifling 28 degrees to a lovely 19 degrees. You can tell the real quality straight away, none of that cheap rubbish. Worth every penny!”— James M. from London
“Last summer I barely slept a wink because of the heat. A conventional air conditioner was out of the question for us, what with the sky-high electricity prices and the cost of tradesmen for wall installation. The Cleemo now runs in our bedroom almost every evening. It's super quiet, gives wonderfully fresh air and uses next to nothing. My energy app shows barely any spike at all. I can finally sleep through the night again.— Sophie T. from Manchester
“With ordinary air conditioners my throat dries out and my eyes start stinging straight away. With the Cleemo it's a completely different story: the air feels like a fresh sea breeze, absolutely lovely. As the device is so light, it stays in my office during the day and moves to the bedroom in the evening. You just plug it in and enjoy. That's what I call proper, well-thought-out British engineering.”— Charlotte M. from Birmingham
“I was looking for a simple solution for my holiday home. No desire for tradesmen drilling into my walls. The Cleemo arrived in a flash, looks extremely smart and worked perfectly from the very first second. Knowing that I'm also supporting a British family business and its jobs made my buying decision even easier. I wholeheartedly recommend it for this summer!”— Oliver B. from Leeds

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

  • Does it need a complicated installation? No, not at all. No tradesman, no tools and no holes in the wall are needed. Simply place the device where you want it, fill the water tank, plug it into an ordinary socket and switch it on.
  • Do you have to keep topping up the water? No, the built-in tank is extremely efficient. A single fill is enough to run the Cleemo for up to 8–10 hours at a stretch, perfect for a full, restful night.
  • Is the device too noisy for the bedroom? No. Unlike compressor air conditioners that drone away, the Cleemo has been specially designed to run whisper-quiet. It won't disturb you in front of the telly or while you sleep.
  • What area can the device cool? The Cleemo cools rooms of up to 30 m². For the best results, use it in a closed room to concentrate the cool air where you need it most.

Where can you buy the Cleemo?

So that everyone can afford the Cleemo, it's only available directly from the official online shop. James Harris deliberately does without middlemen and big corporations, who would otherwise push the price up to several thousand pounds.

100% money-back guarantee (no conditions)

Because the Cleemo is the last passion project he worked on with his late father, James isn't chasing profit. He wants every buyer to be happy, and to be able to pay his staff. So the rule is simple: if you're not absolutely delighted, you get your money back, no questions asked.

Try the Cleemo for 1 to 2 months and, if you're not satisfied, you get a 100% refund! So you're taking absolutely no risk at all.
